Liza Minnelli plays Mavis Turner, a has been Broadway star that moves to Buffalo, NY and then starts teaching tap dancing to a strange collage of misfits. Minnelli's students find a new part of themselves through their dancing and they bond together and finally realize what they can truly achieve. The group discover self-confidence and this will forever change their lives. This is a fun movie with a very musical feel to it The director of Shirley Valentine brings a heartwarming tale to the screen that is filled with music, dance and spirit, surely to please fans of dance and musicals alike.
